1TV: Taliban fighters have captured part of Helmand capital Lashkargah, residents said on Sunday. They said that Taliban fighters have taken positions in several parts of Police District 4 of the city and fighting is ongoing.
Tolo News: The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 96 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 475 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of total cases is now 39,799, the number of total reported deaths is 1,477, and the total number of recoveries is 33,114.
Tolo News: The Afghan women’s football team from Herat defeated Jawzjan on Sunday. Herat will now enter the league semifinals. Ghor’s team qualified for the semifinals after defeating Balkh on Saturday. Bamiyan also entered the semifinals, winning three points in its qualifying match against Herat.
