Tolo News: Recent presidential decrees to appoint standing officials to new posts–while keeping the advantages of their previous assignments–has sparked reactions among legal experts who call such acts “beyond the law.” A presidential decree issued on Sunday indicates that Zia-Ul-Haq Amarkhil, a member of the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s high council, was appointed as a presidential adviser on public and political affairs and as governor of Nangarhar, but will keep his current job as a cricket board official. Tolo News: The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 46 new cases of the coronavirus out of 221 samples tested over the last 24 hours. The number of total cases is now 37,999, the total reported deaths is 1,387, and the total recoveries is 28,211.
Ariana: Afghanistan’s ambassador to Iran, Ghafour Lewal, said Saturday that Afghan refugees in Iran would be legalized. Lewal, who met with Iranian officials said the refugees would be issued ID cards and electronic passports by Afghan officials.
