Saleh: “Daesh Taliban” threatened to turn Kabul into a Shia slaughterhouse

Ariana: First Vice President Amrullah Saleh said on Saturday on his Facebook page – after his daily 6.30am security meeting – that “Daesh Taliban” had warned government against executing any prisoners and said if this happened they would turn “Kabul into a Shia slaughterhouse”. Click here to read more (external link).

Afghan NSA says peace talks should be held within country

1TV: Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib said on Saturday that the peace talks, which are currently happening in Qatar, should be held within Afghanistan. 126 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Afghanistan

Tolo News: The Ministry of Public Health on Thursday reported 126 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 1,060 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The data by the ministry shows that the cumulative number of total cases is now 48,952, the number of total reported deaths is 1,960, and the total number of recoveries is 38,328. Click here to read more (external link).

Ariana News presenter, Fardin Amini lost life in a suicide attempt

Ariana: Afghan Journalist and Ariana News anchor, Fardin Amini, was killed in a suicide attempt Friday morning in Kabul, the Interior Ministry (MoI) confirmed. Tariq Arian, a spokesman for the MoI stated in a tweet that based on evidence, Amini has committed suicide by cutting his neck with a sharp edge stone. Click here to read more (external link).

ICC chairman welcomes Afghan female cricket team formation
