Khaama: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation of Afghanistan has announced that 49 Afghan citizens residing in Tajikistan crossed back into Afghanistan on May 28 and 29, via the Sherkhan Bandar border crossing in Kunduz province. According to a statement released by the Ministry on May 31, among those who returned, 36 individuals held Tajik residency permits, while 12 others crossed the border despite holding valid passports and visas.
Afghanistan International: During a Taliban-organised rally in support of Palestine on Friday, several residents in Andarab raised the flag of the National Resistance Front alongside the Palestinian flag, according to local sources. Sources told Afghanistan International that shortly after the NRF flag was raised, Taliban forces disrupted the rally and dispersed the demonstrators.
Al Jazeera: Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday said the charge d’affaires stationed in the Afghan capital, Kabul, would be elevated to the rank of ambassador, with Afghanistan’s Taliban government later announcing its representative in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, would also be upgraded.
Ariana: Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, has announced his country’s decision to elevate its chargé d’affaires in Kabul to the rank of ambassador. Dar said in a post on X that following his visit to Kabul, relations between the two countries are moving in a positive direction.
