The US Policy towards Afghanistan Gradually Changes, Says Taliban

8am: In an exclusive interview with the Associated Press, the acting foreign minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi has said that the Taliban is seeking good relations with countries around the world, especially the United States, stressing that the US will slowly change its policy towards Afghanistan. China to establish air corridor for Afghan products

Ariana: China’s envoy in Kabul said Monday that his country is ready to establish an air corridor for Afghan agricultural products as a stable Afghanistan would benefit the region and the world. Speaking at an event to mark the hand over of a large consignment of humanitarian aid that arrived at Hairatan land port by rail on Sunday, Wang Yu added that China has pledged humanitarian assistance worth $40 million and that the delivery of this aid would be completed soon. 15-Day Futsal League Competition Held in Kabul

Tolo News: Officials from the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) said that a 15-day A-Class futsal competition started in Kabul on Monday. 22 teams are participating. UNICEF Launches Polio Immunization Campaign

Tolo News: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) launched the fourth national polio immunization campaign in Afghanistan on Monday which will be synchronized with Pakistan to improve cross-border polio eradication efforts, UNICEF said in a statement. The Taliban Issued New Instructions to the Residents of Logar

8am: The Taliban-led government has asked businessmen and shopkeepers in Pul-e-Alam, Logar, to offer their daily prayers in congregations and mosques. The Department of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil has also instructed the barbershops in the city of Pul-e-Alam that taking money and shaving the beard is forbidden and should be avoided. Afghan Currency Drops Further Against Dollar

Tolo News: The value of Afghan currency continues to drop against the US dollar as the country’s economy is on the verge of collapse. The price of one dollar was over 110 Afs on Sunday.  The union of money exchangers of Surah-e-Shahzad said the lack of sufficient dollars available in the market is the main reason for the rapid fall of the Afs. Pakistan to Host OIC Summit on Afghanistan in a Week

8am: The Pakistani media have reported that Islamabad would host a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers on Afghanistan in a week. The meeting will be held on December 19, which is aimed at addressing the serious and deteriorating humanitarian situation and preventing the economic crisis in Afghanistan, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry’s statement.
