
Ariana: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s (IEA) public health ministry said 820,000 people, including mothers and children, have sought treatment for malnutrition so far this year. According to a video message by Javid Hajir, a spokesman for the ministry, 570,000 of them were children under the age of five. Hajir added that during this period, about 381,000 cases of severe malnutrition and 189,000 cases of moderate malnutrition have been registered throughout the country. 8am: On Monday night, the Taliban fighters raided the house of Mehrabuddin, a resident of Khost district, arresting and torturing his son named Sohrab for affiliation with the National Resistance Front, according to sources. Sources have stated that during the torture of Sohrab, his 17-year-old sister threw herself on her brother in order to protect him, as a result of which the Taliban shot dead both of them.
Ariana: Afghanistan’s football team is determined to avenge defeats against India as they face each other in the 3rd round of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers on Saturday. Afghanistan will meet India after playing Hong Kong in the opener of the campaign Wednesday. Speaking at a press conference, Afghanistan’s head coach, Anoush Dastgir, said that the team has practiced hard during the last four years with the aim to make a debut in the Asia Cup. He said that the team is fully ready for Wednesday’s match. 
8am: Sources in Panjshir province have reported that the Taliban fighters have plundered the residents’ orchards in the province. According to footage sent to Hasht-e Subh on Sunday, the Taliban rebels have rushed to a village in Rukha district, taking away the orchards of the residents. The sources added that the Taliban rebels have turned the houses and private properties of the residents into military bases. 
Tolo News: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said that the World Health Organization (WHO) will provide Afghanistan with kits to examine the monkey pox in the near future. The officials said that the Afghan health sector is currently lacking kits to test for monkey pox. “The PCR machines were handed over to the MoPH during the outbreak of Covid-19 in Afghanistan. When we receive the kits of Monkey Pox, these machines could be used to test for the (disease),” said Jvid Hazhir, a spokesman for the MoPH. 
8am: According to a credible source, a group of Taliban fighters in the Zamankour area of Panjshir province has set up a checkpoint and checking the military background experiences of passengers passing the route.
