8am: Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the Taliban rule over Afghanistan, is hosting an international meeting with the theme of “Security, Economic Growth, and Regional Connectivity of Afghanistan.” At this conference, 20 countries and international organizations, including the Taliban, are supposed to discuss matters of Afghanistan and the region. This summit will be for two days (July 25-26). Political stability, security and economic issues of Afghanistan will be the main agendas of the conference.
Al Jazeera: Drug addiction has long been a problem in Afghanistan, the world’s biggest producer of opium and heroin and now a chief source of methamphetamine. Drug use has been driven by persistent poverty and decades of war that left few families unscarred. It appears to be getting worse since the country’s economy collapsed following the seizure of power by the Taliban in August 2021 and the subsequent halt of international financing. 

8am: According to sources, this attack was carried out on a Taliban outpost at 10:00 on Saturday night in Qazikhil village of Hesa Awal district of Kohistan. This attack lasted about 10 to 15 minutes.
Ariana: Pakistan said on Friday it would recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) government through a regional and consensual approach, rather than taking a solo decision on the matter. In March this year, some countries, including Pakistan, were close to legitimizing the IEA [Taliban] rule but withheld their decisions at the last moment, citing lack of progress on commitments made by the IEA on certain issues, Pakistan’s Tribune reported.
8am: According to sources, the Taliban use weapons and warn the local residents to admire the security situation in Panjshir province. The user accounts of RTA and Bakhtar news agency are closed by the Facebook platform due to publishing fake news and stories admiring the Taliban.
8am: Sources told Hasht-e Subh Sunday that the Taliban fighters have warned the residents of some districts of this province, especially Hesa Awal district, to avoid going out at night. The sources further stated that the rebels have warned the residents of the Sanjan area to turn off the lights at 9:00 pm. Anyone’s house light found on after 9:00 pm would face punishment and consequences. Similar cases are reported in various parts of the country the Taliban patrols during the night and harass the residents at night.
