State Department refuses audit of $1B spent in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan

Washington Examiner: American taxpayers have spent more than $1 billion in Afghanistan since the botched withdrawal, yet the Biden administration is refusing to give an accounting of the funds to a government watchdog. Specifically, SIGAR said it wanted information on the collapse of the Afghan government, risks to the population, U.S. compliance on prohibiting the transfer of funds to the Taliban, and the status of humanitarian programs. Border Clash Between Taliban, Pakistani Military Leaves One Dead

A border clash between Taliban forces and the Pakistani military at the Spin Boldak-Chaman crossing has left one Pakistani border guard dead. The clash took place early on November 13 and resulted in the closure of the crossing, according to officials from each country. Thousands of people travel though the crossing daily, making it a main trading point. One Pakistani border guard was shot dead and two others were injured in the incident, a leading trader in Chaman told AP.

Two Men Mysteriously Killed in Parwan and Kapisa Provinces

8am: Two men were mysteriously killed in Parwan and Kapisa provinces. So far, the motive behind the murder of these two people is not known. Taliban Claims To Have Eliminated Islamic State Hideout In Kabul

Taliban evict residents of 17 villages in Daykundi, Ghor provinces: Mohaqiq

Aamaj: Head of people’s unity party, Mohammad Mohaqiq, said that the residents of 17 villages have been evicted by Taliban in Ghor and Daykundi provinces. Before that people were evicted in Ghazni and Takhar by nomads while Taliban supported them. Click here to read more (external link).

Taliban Imposes New Restrictions on Kabul Residents

8am: Khalid Zadran, the spokesman of the Taliban police in Kabul, confirmed the news, saying that households need a certificate from the relevant police stations to move from one house to another. Zadran said to a local media outlet on Saturday (November 13th) that the Taliban’s security stations in Kabul city have distributed papers to the real state dealers and offices, which are called relocation confirmations. Turkey Deports Nearly 57,000 Illegal Afghan Immigrants

8am: On Saturday, November 12, Anadolu Agency, quoting Turkish government officials as report that 57,174 Afghan citizens have been returned to their country this year. Drone Patrols the Darqad District Airspace of Takhar Province

8am: Sources said to Hasht-e Subh that two drones patrolled this district for hours at midnight on Saturday, November 12.
