Taliban’s Slaughter of Civilians: ‘The General Amnesty is a Lie’

26th December, 2023 · admin

8am: In the past month, the Taliban have reportedly killed more than 50 citizens of the country, including former military personnel, women, elderly men, youths, and children. The group continues its practices of detention, torture, humiliation, and imprisonment of its opposition forces. Citizens of the country claim that these murders are only a fraction of the cases that have been covered by the media, as many other instances of Taliban-induced fear go unreported, and media outlets struggle to access information. According to them, the Taliban’s declaration of general amnesty is a lie, and former military personnel should not trust this group. While credible sources attribute these killings to the Taliban, there are also numerous cases where unknown gunmen are implicated. Nevertheless, reports from the United Nations and other human rights organizations indicate widespread instances where the Taliban have engaged in killing, detaining, and torturing both former military personnel and civilians. The Afghan resistance movement bringing the fight to the Taliban’s doorstep

Massoud

The Independent (UK): Sitting with his trademark woollen pakol (cap) resting in his lap, the chief of the National Resistance Front (NRF) is the spitting image of his late father. He has adopted the clean-shaven, neatly dressed look of a diplomat rather than that of a military leader, but he remains intimately aware of and involved in the grisly guerilla operations still being carried out by his forces in the mountain passes and gorges of northern Afghanistan. Children Under Taliban Rule: UN Reports Instances of Sexual Exploitation

24th December, 2023 · admin

8am: The organization identified child labor, sexual exploitation, high dropout rates, and migration as severe violations of children’s rights. Specifically, the report underscored that the Taliban’s prohibition on girls’ education exposes many girls to egregious forms of violence, including honor killings, underage marriages, and heightened instances of family violence. Designated violators of children’s rights in Afghanistan include Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the Taliban, especially the Haqqani network, and the ISIS Khorasan (IS-K), due to their involvement in recruiting, exploiting, and killing children.
