Afghanistan International: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Saturday, 24 October, rejected allegations that it was arming Afghans to fight the Taliban or anti-Pakistan militant groups, describing the claims as “baseless and misleading”. The response came after Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation, claimed that Pakistan was recruiting Afghans to fight anti-Pakistan insurgents.
