8am: The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) says it documented at least 29 cases of the detention and arrest of former members of Afghanistan’s defense and security forces and former government officials between April 1 and June 30. The mission also documented five cases of ill-treatment and torture and eight cases of killings of former members of Afghanistan’s defense and security forces during this period.
