Michael Hughes: The Taliban movement began implementing yet another round of antediluvian measures for the sole purpose of ensuring its grip on power, this time a ban on airing or publishing images of “living beings.” It is of course important to underscore that most of the Taliban’s draconian restrictions, including this latest edict, are not legitimately derived from Islamic law. Not even close.
