Ghazni: Taliban (Mansur faction) announced today that a landmine they had planted hit an Afghan army tank in the Qarabagh district. They reported that the explosion killed two Afghan government soldiers.

Khost: A magnetic bomb explosion left one person wounded in the capital today, according to Afghan officials.

Kunduz: Local officials in Kunduz said today that Taliban militants have started to loot and burn down houses belonging to the local Afghan police and pro-government people. Several houses have been set ablaze in a number of different districts. Taliban (Mansur Faction) announced today that in an attack yesterday on a government convoy in the Ali Abad district left 9 Afghan soldiers dead, and an armored tank destroyed. Two civilians were reported killed, but as usual, the Taliban blamed it on returning fire from government soldiers.

Nangarhar: Three Members of DAESH have been killed in a US drone strike last night in Achin district, Afghan officials announced today. No civilian causalities were reported. Also, a truck carrying UN security guards hit a landmine today in Behsood district, wounding 2.

Finally, Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry announced this afternoon that a total of 27 Taliban fighters have been killed in the past 24 hours in various parts parts of the country. The ministry also confirmed the loss of 11 Afghan security personnel as a result of clashes with insurgents.
