Officials in Afghanistan say a suicide bomber struck on a road near Kabul’s airport Monday, killing at least one person and wounding several others.
The French news agency reports a Taliban spokesman says the militants were responsible for the attack on a foreign forces convoy.
The attack comes one day after Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif visited Kabul to prepare for a fresh round of peace talks with the Taliban.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for Monday’s bombing.
