Thousands of protesters demand implementation of TUTAP through Bamyan

Muhaqqiq says rejecting Bamyan as TUTAP electricity route is ‘discriminatory’

1TV: Mohammad Muhaqqiq, the second deputy for Afghanistan’s Chief Executive, has claimed that rejecting Bamyan as the route for electricity transmission from Central Asia is ‘discriminatory’. DABS to increase the price of imported electricity by 25 percent

$1.17 billion CASA-1000 project to be inaugurated next month

Khaama Press: The $1.17 billion CASA-1000 power project will be inaugurated by the officials from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan next month. According to MoFA, the CASA-1000 project will pave the way for the transmission of electricity from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan through 1,250 kilometers of high voltage transmission line. Turkmenistan builds new power transmission line towards Afghanistan

Trend News Agency: A 146-kilometer Yoloten-Tahtabazar power transmission line has been constructed in Turkmenistan towards Afghanistan, the Turkmen government said March 26. After its commissioning, it will be possible to ensure a higher level of reliable energy supply not only for local consumers, but also for those in neighboring Afghanistan. Turkmenistan supplies electricity to Afghanistan on favorable terms.
