18,000 Afghans returned home from Turkey in six months

Tolo News: Some of the returnees were deported by the Turkish authorities. Currently, there are 100,000 Afghans living in Turkey, according to Alima, deputy minister of refugees. Rights groups have criticized Turkey for deporting migrants back to conflict-torn countries, including Afghanistan, saying it was putting their lives at risk. Former Afghan female Air Force pilot wins asylum in U.S.

1TV: Niloofar Rahmani, who became Afghanistan’s first female fixed-wing pilot in the country’s air force, has been granted asylum in the United States.
