Supreme Court to step in if parliament fails to resolve dispute over speakership: Afghan official

1TV: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has given parliament two days to resolve dispute over who should take speaker role or he will refer the issue to the Supreme Court, a top Afghan official said on Saturday. The Lower House held an election to choose its speaker nearly three weeks ago with Mir Rahman Rahmani and Kamal Nasir Osoli as contenders, but the new speaker has yet to take seat.
