Hamid Karzai opposes election before peace

1TV: Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai on Thursday expressed opposition to holding presidential election before reaching a peace deal with the Taliban. Speaking at a press conference in Kabul, Karzai called on candidates to withdraw.  At the conference, Karzai rejected the idea of forming an interim government. He said that he had told Ghani to continue as president until peace. Click here to read more (external link).
