The Diplomat: Tensions are rising over the use of Afghanistan’s two official languages. Pohantun (Pashto) or daneshgah (Persian), which of the two should be used as the word for “university” in Afghanistan? The Afghan constitution recognizes both Persian (Dari) and Pashto as the country’s official languages; in practice, however, there is less agreement on which of these two languages should be used on the signboards of public institutions. * “TAJIK” IS NOT AN “ETHNICITY”
———————————————
———————————————
TAJIK labeling is not an accurate ethnic classification. It is as if all the English-speaking folks categorized into one specific ethnic group- obviously it won’t make any sense.
Farsi-speaking folks never called themselves Tajik, (or Persian for that matter)- it is an Englishman’s convenient fantastic labeling who picked up the idea from , “Tajik labeling”), of the Russian ethnic differentiations of Central Asia when so called “Tajiks” and the Turkic-speaking locals were living under the domination of the ex-Soviet Union.
In fact, “Tajo” was originally a Chinese term that was used in reference to neighboring western Chinese nomads and then later it was connoted to settled Chinese and Mongolian migrant near Farghana Valley during the Tang Dynasty in Central Asia, ( 630’S and later before the MUSLIM regional take overs; 750 A.D.
The original FARSI; (” ARABO-FARSI”; to be more precise), speakers are descendants of diverse ethnic groups who kept interacting and mingled for more than twelve hundred years under the tradition and banner of Islamic faith
The “major original ethnic groups in the region were made of Arabs; Pashtoons; Kurds; Turks; Balooch; Greeks; Qarakhanids and many other smaller communities from divers backgrounds who lived in the surrounding areas as well.
Ancient MESOPOTAMIAN inhabitants made up the bulk of original residents of the whole area through out its earliest millennia, ( mostly from three to six thousand years ago). They all came under the domination of the Islamic jurisdictions, (around mid eight century), who then mostly embraced well-suited nascent language of “Arabo-Farsi as a regional Lingua-Franca.
Pashto and Farsi roots stemmed from the same ancient Eastern Mesopotamian languages that were, most likely, native to the vicinities of Iraq/Iran current borderline. The two languages most probably, lost their close affiliation in the coarse of numerous expansions; foreign invasions and consolidations of many locally or foreign based interacting subcultures.
The Greeko-Pashto and ancient Arabic related languages from the Middle East proper were the major contributing building block for more than twelve hundred years of modern FARSI language. It is obvious that “Arabo-Farsi language”, as a common denominator for all ethnics, was never meant for any specific ethnic group: IT IS AN ISLAMIC ASSOCIATED LANGUAGE
Englishman in Oxford is certainly
settling the matter in rash labelings in an obvious hidden attempt to creat political rifts among the people of the region. They, in fact, used similar strategy to get rid of Arabo-Farsi language in India , which prior to that time, (1857), it was used as a Lingua Franca among the elite during the rules of Muslims. In fact, the Englishman built the Aligarh University, (1875), ( so called, Muslim Institute), for the sole purpose of introducing and promoting the brand new language of “Urdu” in expense of Farsi language- the eradication meant to usher in a fresh start under the glory of the so called, “ENGLISH EMPIRE”.
Ironically, the same brains are now erroneously promoting bizarre ethnic designations, through the same language that they got rid off in India- look at the amount of misinformation that are loading into Wikipedia and other “Western mass media” sources everyday. They are even “poking joke” at Iranians” by calling them ” Persians”- another bizarre case of politically-motivated mislabeling by foreigners.
The Oxford language team is self-deluding as if they are still living under the era of colonial India; Those politically-motivated designations, show up only ignorance. They are the same criminal wackos who are forcefully appointing presidents, governors, generals, diplomats and even new fancy positions such as; “chief executive of AFGHANISTAN”- AND COWARDLY WAGING A TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED WARFARE AGAINST THE INNOCENT AND RELIGIOUSLY CONSERVATIVE PEASANTS OF AFGHANISTAN UNDER THE NAME OF, SO CALLED”,
TALIBAN.
If you look at the history of modern “Farsi”, (ARABO-FARSI), language, you could easily notice that it began developing alongside of the Islamic budding culture in Eastern Mesopothamia; which covers Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Central Asia. The reason it is called Farsi is that the Muslim Arabs came first in contact with the people of the Fars Province, ( in around mid 600’s)- the interactions dramatically changed the region’s social outlooks through religiously inspired new language of “Farsi”;(Arabo-Farsi), to be more precise.
At its basic language level, the adaptation of the “Arabic Alphabet” facilitated the expansion of the new form of the Farsi language and set new standard and formats that closely followed up “Qurahn Shareef” as its model. As the Islamic domain expanded farther eastward, so did the extent of the developing “Arabo-Farsi” language.
The Pashtoon have always been calling “Arabo-Farsi-speaking” people of Afghanistan “Parsi-Wahn or Parsi-Khawahn”, which basically means a person who can read in Farsi. That statement makes perfect sense in a way that modern Farsi was introduced to the region as a “written language”; surely not as an reference to an ethnic group- with the growth of Islam, the Arabo-Farsi language kept pace as an integral part of it.
Moreover, modern Arabo-Farsi is closely related to Pashto; an earlier branch of Mesopotamian language; which is at least two thousand years old in its modern colloquial format. “Greeko-Pashto” Gandahara culture of Mahayana Buddhism and its language had a major impacts on Farsi’s early stages of its development You could also easily sift through ARABO-FARSI vocabulary, ( since around 700 A.D,), and can’t help but to notice the overwhelming Arabic linguistic influence as well- from the usage of huge percentage of vocabulary to extreme measures that were being taken, by its great poets, scientists and writers, to strictly and closely follow up the standard of “QURAHN SHAREEF”.
All those great Arabo-Farsi scientists, poets and scholars of diverse field of knowledge during the Islamic Renaissance Period, ( around 800’S to early 1200’s and later), were congregating from all walks of lives which included mixed Islamic cultures of Turks, Pashtoons, Arabs, Baloochs, Kurds; Qara-khanids of Central Asia and others. They did not address themselves in terms of what the Englishman now deluding himself into, propagating. They were obviously all “respectfully” communicating in religiously-inspired Arabo-Farsi language which has been generally called “FARSI”- all along since its inception with the arrival of the Islam.
In fact, learning high standard Farsi language, ( with its associated Arabic Calligraphy), always had a special value and place among all of the MUSLIM-dominated region’s ethnic groups- it was strongly and closely linked with Islamic thoughts and trends as well as it was used as a de facto, “Lingua-Franca”, along the international trading routes of ancient “Silk-Road” to China and “Tea-Road” to India.
Greeko-Pashto language most likely was the continental trading language of the whole region, ( south-west Asia), before the Muslim’s gradual take overs and probably much more prevalent around the turn of first BC Millennium.
The Arabs did not invade Ferghana valley, as the Western pseudo-historians claim; they actually liberated Central Asia from the repressive Tang Dynasty of China, ( “Battle of Talas” , around 751A.D.), and drove them off Central Asia. The take over of that large valley gave a fresh breath to the vibrant region that led to the liberation of the local folks from the “Chinese yoke” and helped further shaped and consolidate the new vibrant Arabo-Farsi language as modern literary movements; known as, “ISLAMIC RENAISSANCE PERIOD”.
There is no need to confuse explicit connection with some extinct languages such as “Indo-European” that no body have ever been able to exactly trace or even pinpoint to its origin; except on its abstract theoretical conception- it is shrouded in mystery. The, “so called”, great Western Language Scholars have not had any success in mapping out an exact origin or location yet; it is all very much speculative at the best.
On the other hand, the Arabo-Farsi was clearly originally adopted by mixed Arab armies under the Islamic teachings and its new cultural dominance. The language kept evolving as it paced in its interaction with local languages and religions of Zorsosteruan, Buddhism and Hinduism along the major paths of the Islam in south-west Asia.

Why do we have to accept confused abstracts and mislabels; especially from some highly-paid pseudo-scientists who disrespect our religion, culture and are striving to the extreme measures lto undermine the oldest ancient civilization on the face of the earth.
