His musical talent was much more versatile than Elvis’s- you
can’t compare apple and orange, though, in that sense; especially from such diverse cultural backgrounds-

Regardless; he did not claim that

Sponiety characterized most of Ahmad Zahir’s songs which
were combined with energetic musical and linguistic

that embodied his diverse musical styles so enduring.

*Ahmad Zahir’s unmatched spontaneity and cultural sensitivity carried on to clearly reflect off his musical and linguistic talents- creative, yet culturally still very much in tone.

First met Ahmad Zahir in a medical clinic in mid 1974 in Kabul before my first travel to Washington D.C. Then met him twice in late 1978 and early 1779 after my arrival back to Kabul. He was an extreme Pakhtoon nationalist, a fact he always deliberately and successfuly hid, and best singer Afghanistan has ever produced. Rest in peace bro.
