Tolo News: In his routine daily speech to the people, Atta Mohammad Noor, the ousted governor of Balkh, called [the] government an inactive and treacherous administration and argued that poverty and insecurity had increased due to the lack of leadership.  He criticized government for President Ashraf Ghani’s recent move to pension off army generals and said the process is dependent on ‘ethnic interests’. “The 85-year-old uncle (of President Ashraf Ghani) is the ambassador (of Afghanistan) in Russia. Meanwhile, in many other positions, individuals have been appointed who are walking with canes but are working in high ranking positions,” he said. “When a youth wants to apply for a job, they say he does not have the experience for it, but the job is ready for others, who have links with the president, before they return back from London and US’s Fulbright courses.” Click here to read more (external link).
