Six nominees for ICOIC, one for High Council of Supreme Court introduced to parliament

The second-Vice President of Afghanistan has named six nominees for Independent Commission for Overseeing the Implementation of Constitution (ICOIC) and one for the membership of the High Council of Supreme Court.

Mohammad Sarwar Danish on Monday introduced the seven nominees to parliament for a vote of confidence.

Abdul Hasib Ahmadi is recommended for membership of the High Council of Supreme Court, Mohammad Qasim Hashimzai, Abdullah Shafahi, Sayed Abubakar Mutaqi, Abdul Rawouf Harwi, Arif Hafiz and Ghazaal Haris were recommended for ICOIC.

Danish said during Monday’s session that each one of the seven nominees has higher education and years-long experience.

Lawmakers are now set to review documents of the nominees and choose a date for using their vote to approve or reject them.
