8am: Firstly, this move marks one of the most significant actions by Al-Qaeda in recent years. Saif al-Adl’s call, implying a resurgence of Al-Qaeda, or at least an attempt at it, under the Taliban’s flag, does not seem to have happened without Taliban cooperation.
