Afghan Teacher ‘Grieving’ Over Taliban’s Schoolgirl Ban

Qamar Niazi, a teacher from Helmand Province, called RFE/RL’s Radio Azadi to express her distress with the Taliban’s decision to close secondary girls’ schools in Afghanistan just hours after they reopened on March 23. International organizations and world governments have called on the Taliban to reconsider the decision immediately.
