First Afghan woman to scale country’s highest peak

The Virginian-Pilot: Earlier this month, the now-24-year-old Hanifa Yousoufi, became the first Afghan woman to summit her country’s tallest mountain. Yousoufi reached the summit of Noshaq on Aug. 10 after nearly a month of climbing. National Weightlifting Team Preparing For Asian Games

First Afghan Surfer to Represent His Country at World Champs

Tolo News:  Afridun Amu, Afghanistan’s first surfer, will represent his country at this year’s International Surfing Association’s (ISA) world surfing championships in Japan. Ghani Introduces New Cricket Board Members

Tolo News: President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday introduced two senior cabinet members Hamid Tahmasi, the minister of transport, and Kamil Sediqi, the deputy minister of commerce, as new members of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB). Nabi Ranked ICC’s 2nd Best ODI All-Rounder
