Local Afghan media is reporting that a series of explosions have occurred in Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul. Pajhwok Afghan News is reporting that back to back explosions were heard in the Deh Afghanan locality at around 9 pm local time. Meanwhile Khaama Press is reporting that rockets were fired from an unknown location. One of the rockets landed in the vicinity of Pashtunistan Watt, close to ministry buildings, according to the Khaama report. Tolo news is also reporting that at least 3 rocket explosions were heard, and that 2 reportedly exploded in the Wazir Akbar Khan area. The Tolo report says that officials have confirmed that one rocket landed at a police checkpoint in Zanbaq Square in downtown Kabul. Casualty reports are not available at this time.
