A magnitude 5.9 earthquake has hit northern Afghanistan the Indian capital New Delhi and parts of Pakistan.
The epicenter of the seismic activity, which occurred late on Sunday, was 22 kilometers (14 miles) southwest of Ashkasham in Badakhshan Province, 300 kilometers (186 miles) northeast of the Afghan capital Kabul, at a depth of 92.4 kilometers (57 miles).
No report of possible damage or casualties has yet been released.
