Tolo News: The eighth round of the national powerlifting selection championships ended on Saturday, with the Herat and Nimroz teams scooping the titles. The tournament was divided into two categories – classic and professional. Herat came first in the classic division and Nimroz first in the professional division. • Afghan women’s football team loses 0-20 to Uzbekistan – Before the tournament, Afghanistan captain Shabnam Mobarez said in a statement that she was not invited to the tournament for refusing to sign a contract. “This contract jeopardizes my ability to seek sponsorship outside of AFF (Afghanistan Football Federation), does not include compensation for playing, prohibits me from pursuing other promotional ventures, and lacks any sort of mediation during disciplinary rulings,” the statement said.
