The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Pakistani Charge d’affair after a border violation incident by Pakistani troops along the joint border in Paktika province.

According to the ministry, three border policemen embraced martyrdom and a Humvee destructed after shells were fired from across the Durand Line in Paktika province.

Naseer Ahmad Andisha, the Deputy Foreign Minister lodged strong protest and shared concerns of the government with Moazzam Ali over the incident.

Andisha told Ali that such attacks are contrary to accepted international rules and standards, as well as with the principles of good neighborliness.

“The consequence of such attacks at this critical juncture where relations between the two countries is politically at the sensitive stage, will reduce tolerance of the Afghan people and create the spirit of reaction in the public mind,” Andisha said.

“Serious action have to be taken to stop these attacks immediately and also satisfactory explanations needs to be provided for the Afghan side.”

The Charge d’affair of Pakistan Embassy promised to convey the concerns and demand of the Afghan government to the authorities and relevant officials of his country.
