Pakistan reportedly warns Taliban to join peace talks or pay ‘heavy price’

1TV: As prospect of Taliban peace talks dim, Pakistan has warned that the insurgents would pay a ‘heavy price’ if they continue with their violence, Pakistani media reported Monday. Pakistan has urged the Taliban all along to shun violence and negotiate, The Express Tribune reported citing an unnamed official. “That is why we are utterly disappointed by their announcement regarding the spring offensive,” he said.
