8am: The Taliban announced that since 26 March, heavy rainfall, lightning, landslides, and floods have claimed the lives of 28 people across more than 20 provinces of Afghanistan. Bakhtar News Agency, under Taliban control, reported on Monday, 30 March, that Hafiz Mohammad Yousuf Hamad, Head of Information and Publications and spokesperson for the Taliban’s Disaster Preparedness and Response Administration, stated that 49 others were injured as a result of these weather events.
