Air strikes kill 10 militants in N. Afghanistan

kunduzKUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) — Air strikes against Taliban hideouts in the northern Kunduz province with Kunduz city as its capital 250 km north of Kabul claimed lives of 10 militants Saturday night, provincial police chief Mohammad Qasim Jangal Bagh said Sunday.

“The Aerial operations were conducted in Khan Abad district late Saturday night, killing 10 Taliban rebels on the spot and injured five others,” Jangal Bagh told reporters here.

No civilian has been hurt during the air raid, the official asserted.

Taliban militants have yet to make comment.
