1TV: The United States has sanctioned Nayf Salam Muhammad Ujaym al-Hababi whom it describes as al-Qaida leader for the eastern zone of Afghanistan. The designation of al-Hababi as Specially Designated Global Terrorists bars Americans from dealing with him and freezes any of his assets in U.S. jurisdiction.
