Following Afghanistan’s historic ODI and T20 series wins against Zimbabwe back in the month of October, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has added the Afghan match among 6 games to look forward to at the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016.

The match is scheduled to be played against Zimbabwe on 12th March in Nagpur India at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium and is part of Super 10 Group B.

According to ICC the game has been added among the 6 games to look forward to at T20 World Cup following Zimbabwe’s back to back series loss to Afghanistan.

“Zimbabwe will look to avenge its recent series loss to Afghanistan when the sides meet in Nagpur on March 12. The two sides have turned keen rivals of late, with Afghanistan defeating Zimbabwe in the limited-overs series in October 2015. They have never met in a World T20, but Afghanistan hold the advantage in the head-to-head record with two victories in as many matches. The game could also be crucial in terms of qualification to the Super 10 stage as it’s the final match of the first round for both sides,” ICC said.

The other games among 6 games to look forward to at ICC T20 World Cup includes India vs Pakistan which is scheduled to be played at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on 19th March and tops the list.

The second most popular game is Australia vs New Zealand scheduled for March 18th and will be played at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

Sri Lanka vs West Indies comes third and scheduled for March 20th at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Banglore. England vs South Africa comes fourth and is scheduled on March 18th and will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The fifth most popular game is Netherlands vs Ireland scheduled for March 13th and will be played at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
