A senior Iranian diplomat says the US-led invasion of Afghanistan has merely led to the deterioration of the security situation in the Asian country, urging enhanced economic ties with Kabul to pave the way for an international fight against terrorism there.
Iranian Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Es’haq Al-e Habib made the remarks on Friday at a Security Council meeting on the issue of Afghanistan’s relations with its Central Asia neighbors and the link between peace and security.
“Afghanistan has not become more secure in the wake of the US invasion,” he said. “The fact is that the invasion of Afghanistan, and basically any invasion in our region, has failed to improve the security situation.”
The Islamic Republic believes that Afghanistan should be turned into a place for international cooperation rather than rivalry, he added.
“In the world today, peace, security and development cannot not be bound to a single country’s borders and can only be achieved within all-inclusive regional frameworks,” the Iranian envoy said.
Al-e Habib further stressed that increasing economic cooperation with Afghanistan promotes the fight against terrorism.
Over the past decade, Iran has stressed the need for reinforcing economic ties with Afghanistan as an approach towards restoring regional peace, the official noted.
Iran has implemented more than 300 infrastructure projects in Afghanistan, worth about $500 million in total, and hosted millions of Afghan refugees over the past three decades, he pointed out.
The US and its allies invaded Afghanistan under the guise of the so-called war on terror. Some 17 years on, the local Taliban militant group has only boosted its campaign of violence across the country, targeting both civilians and security forces in bloody assaults.
More recently, Daesh terror group has also taken advantage of the chaos and established a foothold in eastern and northern Afghanistan.
The Takfiri outfit has stepped up its terror attacks in the war-torn country after losing its bases in Iraq and Syria despite the presence of thousands of foreign troops on Afghan soil.
Daesh elements heading to Afghanistan: Russia
During Friday’s meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that surviving Daesh militants are fleeing from Syria to Central Asia and Afghanistan.
“Northern Afghanistan is turning into a foothold of international terrorism with the Afghan wing of ISIS (Daesh) in the lead,” Lavrov said, adding that the terror outfit is “forming a staging ground to carry out destructive plans in the region.”
The Russian foreign minister further raised concerns about drug production in Afghanistan that “saw an unprecedented growth” last year.
“Urgent measures are necessary to cut off this threat which fuels international terrorism, undermines countries’ stability, the health of the younger generation, triggers crime and corruption,” he said.
US, Pakistan trade barbs
The American and Pakistani officials engaged in a war of words during Friday’s meeting.
US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan said Washington can’t work with Pakistan if it continues to give sanctuary to “terrorist organizations.”
In response, Pakistan’s UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodi said that Afghanistan and its partners, especially the US, need to address “challenges inside Afghanistan rather than shift the onus for ending the conflict onto others.”
Washington-Islamabad ties sourced last August after the US accused Pakistan of providing a haven for extremist groups that carry out attacks in Afghanistan; an allegation rejected by Islamabad.

The Iranians never truely cared about the grim situation of Afghanistan- now this low rank, after 17 years, reduce, simplify and put this extremely complex and involved situation into an easy formula.
I don’t think most Iranian authorities realize the real regional political significance and ramifications that the imposed Afghan conflict would eventually cause and carry along in its ultimate impacts on major global political players around the globe.
.
The top Iranian authorities never properly condemned the grand invasion in the first place- now, the low rank goofballs are talking rubbish.
.
They always effortlessly wanted to make a big deal out of themselves; but, never got any where. Initially, the Anglo/US gave them some credit and incentives to get them involved, once they succeeded then they minimized their inputs and importance.
.
Ironically, as a historically close neighbor, they never put an effort to offer any goodwill solution to the imposed bloody situation of Afghanistan.
I don’t know if they were acting lazy ignorant or did not give a damn anyway- well, it could be all true.

Ironically, alll of the goofy neighboring countries never put up any, (even to a minimum degree), sincere efforts to help bring about honorable peaceful harmony in Afghanistan- in the history they all will be seen and judged back as low class exploiting neighbors who were all seeking favors from the hardcore international war “monger snd criminals” in the midst- mark my words.

*IT IS CALLED COWARDICE
Look and learn how great
Nadir Afshar of Mashhad
united all the diverse people of
the whole region- he was a real. charismatic and intelligent leader.
.
He built up extremely sophisticated and envious infrastructures that lasted long after he was killed by foreign enemy agents.
The reason he was able to achieve the rare short-period regional unity, was that his wise approach to the locals and the populace were very respectful. It really carried him a long way.
.
People quickly notice it- as whole bunch; they know what is good for them, provided, that the establishment has the right amount of power to wield and the real integrated and foresighted intelligence to lead.-on the right direction.
Incidentally; (after Nadir Afshar’s death),
the two ensued ,
great leaderships of
Ahmad Shah Bah-Bah of Kandahar (1747-2772)
and
Kareem Khan Zand of Shayrahz (1751-1779)
were truly unmatched ever since.
*****
No body could mess with them.

PLEASE CHECK IT OUT !
Since then, English secret and regular imperial armies actively have had been challenging the possible emergence of any regional formidable foes to unite and reinstate the free will of the whole populace as one.
.
The puppet Qajaris empowered to destroy the remnants of the Zand Dynasty while relentless invasions upon invasions of slave armies, from Indianan Sub-Continent on Afghan domains, further erroded the brief solid unity that had been dreamt and achieved by a lucky break iand persistent efforts of Nadir Afshar
The Russian czars and the English colonial authorities
kept their regionally-active interferences, in an order to, undermine the solid foundations that had built up by local visionaries; Ahmad Shah Bah Bah and Kareem Khan Zand.
Ahmad Shah Durrahni after the assassination of the Nadir Afshar should have had taken over the whole remnant of Nadir Afshar’s empire- I am %200 sure that he had enough power and respect to unite the whole region. Instead, he got busy and heavily engaged in his Indian campaign to prevent the collapse of the Muslim rules in Delhi and other parts of India.
.
The unificstion or loose alliances of the region back then ; (mainly, Iran and Afghanistan), would have had definitely prevented the European plots to destabilize, fragmnt and exploit the region after his deaths of Ahmad Shah Durrsni (1772) and Kareem Khan of Zand in 1779.
.
After weakening and undermining of the strong regional establishments, the European plotters were able to slowly penetrate, expand and occupy huge domains of Muslim allies in north India. They were were also were able to remove the Zand establishment of Iran through empowering of the puppet Qajaris.
Under additional open and secret political plots, from then on the expanding colonial English and Russian imperial powers were able to sustain anarchies across the whole region and/or landing their own direct despotic rules in an order to keep the region under-developed, dependsnt and totally controlled.
I am sorry; I meant yo say %100- typing error.
Interestingly, the process kept going for more than two hundred years and still on its originally-imposed track.
The political developments of 1720’s and later of that century, that led to the sudden collapse of the SAFAWI EMPIRE, (in the aftermath of the invadion from Kandahar region, and then the powerfully-threatening rise of NADIR AFSHAR),
was serious enough to set high alarms to the already highly-expanded European military establishments in the region.
Consequently, the European governing alliances began to initiate their own unique preventive military, economic and political agendas to prevent occurrences of such kinds of similar serious challenging conflicts that could have easily posed by regional Islamic alliances at any time.
The European Collonial powers already had themselves firmly established around the shorelines of Africa, Arabia, Persian Gulf, India, China and Indonesia.
.
They were totally dependable on their naval power- any serious challenges could have easily disrupted accessibility and consequently their global economic interests and superiority.
Besides; they could not afford to lose the lucrative naval businesses across the oceanic links, and their highly prized ports and fun island possessions.
.
Besides, the Englishmen were obviously jealously protecting the invaluable riches of the newly-found Australian Continent and its surroundings- another dimmidion, that they had to seriously think about.
AS YOU SEE;
IT ALL ADDS UP !
