National Weightlifting Team Preparing For Asian Games

Tolo News: Officials from the National Weightlifting Federation said Afghanistan’s weightlifting squad is preparing for the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament will kick off on August 18. Mirwais Raziqi and Zubair Nazari, the national weightlifting team members, will represent Afghanistan at the event. Click here to read more (external link). Afghans win 8 medals at powerlifting competition

AOPNEWS | January 10, 2016 Afghanistan’s weightlifters won 8 medals (7 gold and 1 bronze) in the recently concluded Subrata Classic Open International Powerlifting, Benchpress and Deadlift Championship.
