Tolo News: Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday said that lack of coordination between security forces and a lack of cooperation between people and the Afghan National Police force members is the main reason for the increase in insecurity in the country.
“People can say their pain to the security officials only when they [security officials] act based on the law. The security situation will improve if this happens,” he said while addressing a gathering in Kabul.
He said the security agencies’ officials should shoulder their responsibility in a better and more effective way and consider themselves as responsible to the people.
“A soldier screams and says they are under siege and they need help. If this issue does not awaken the Interior Minister, it will define that there is a gap and a problem in the way they [senior security officials] do their duty,” Abdullah added. Click here for more information (external link).
