TUTAP Protestors Set Deadline As Ghani Pledges Review

electric_polesTolo News: Hundreds of protestors on Monday flocked to Kabul streets to press government to review a controversial decision over Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-Pakistan (TUTAP) electricity project, giving a one week deadline for their demands to be met. The protestors vowed more demonstrations unless government approves the implementation of the project through central regions of the country, mainly Bamiyan and Maidan Wardak provinces, as they believe it is more secure and economically beneficial for Afghanistan.
